Visual perception field - model building, drawing and writing in print

The goal of the program is to provide occupational therapists and professionals (kindergarten teachers, volunteer kindergarten teachers, volunteer teachers, and integrated kindergarten teachers) in the field of children with a developmental, applicable, and fun method for developing visuomotor skills in preschool-aged children. This is so that they can succeed in the occupations expected of them, including:

  • Building objects and models

  • Developing meaningful freehand drawing

  • Purchasing printed writing

The program includes a broad developmental framework that allows the activity to be adapted to the child's level, from initial stages of understanding an image to advanced stages of developed drawing and writing products.

In low functioning: The program is unique in that it bypasses difficulties in the verbal channel. It allows children to bring out their inherent comprehension abilities and opens a gateway to self-expression and the acquisition of skills, without words.

High functioning: The program breaks down visual concepts in a sensorimotor and playful manner, graded and systematic, thus helping children easily and quickly acquire drawing and writing skills, in accordance with what is expected for their age.

What does the program include?

  • Two kits with quality care products

  • A three-hour training session to learn the method - principles, stages of development and strategies

  • You can participate in support sessions to implement the method in the framework space, and adapt it to specific children.

The training is provided by Yonit Breuer, MSc OT Occupational Therapist, creator of the program.
